Plot[]
An ominous fearsome hawk soars over Haplin's unsuspecting residents as the Thaw Fest celebration is about to start. Tommy must walk a precarious line when it comes to Friddle's murder, as a state investigator moves in to assist him. Andrew Haplin, still upset over girlfriend Georgia's assault, exacts revenge on who he believes to be the perpetrator -- pays for the consequences. Meanwhile Henley is a victim of a bizarre car accident, but a handsome stranger not only comes to her rescue, but lures her into a surprising, sensual relationship. And when Thaw Fest finally arrives, it comes with chilling and tragic consequences.
Synopsis[]
Following the car crash, Henley Boone is aided by a passing motorist named Aidan, who takes her to the closest doctor — which happens to be a veterinarian, much to Aiden's embarrassment. Later, they share an intimate encounter.
Meanwhile, Tommy and Big Dave Duncan fruitlessly dig for bodies in the location given to Dave under duress by Friddle. Despite coming up empty in the search for the Magic Man's victims, Tommy doesn't turn in his friend.
The Stiviletto brothers put on suits they haven't worn in 12 years and attempt to file a formal complaint against Tommy for the beating he handed them in the previous episode. They ultimately back down at the advice of their unseen brother Gregory, who Tommy supposedly sent to prison years ago. On the other side of town, Tommy's wife Rachel Conroy and their daughter encounter an eccentric man named Merritt Grieves who invites them back to his movie memorabilia shop.
During a town festival, Henley realizes that Aidan stole the mysterious hammer out of her bag. When Aidan approaches the Stiviletto brothers at the celebration they welcome him home by his full name: Aidan Gregory Stiviletto. Nearby, Rachel disappears in the middle of the festival, leaving her daughter behind and Tommy panicked that the so-called "Magic Man" has struck again.
